The relationship with the society and environment in which SGT Solutions operates is considered a critical factor in our ability to operate effectively. It is increasingly being utilized as a key metric to assess our overall performance. Embracing social responsibility isn’t just a choice; it’s integral to our ethos and contributes to the sustainability of our operations.

In collaboration with the Universities of Fort Hare and Rhodes, the Siyakhula Living Laboratory stands as a testament to our commitment to social impact. This initiative aims to introduce ICT to the Dwesa rural community in the Eastern Cape. Key features include providing internet connectivity to 17 schools, functioning as ICT hubs for the surrounding community. Managed by students from Rhodes and Fort Hare, the ICT network incorporates satellite, WIMAX, and Wi-Fi technology installed by SGT Solutions. The initiative has expanded to establish computer centers at each school, fostering computer literacy and comprising a server and 25 terminals.

Through the Siyakhula Living Lab Initiative, we extend beyond connectivity to empower rural communities. The project not only facilitates ICT access but also contributes to education by funding the establishment of computer centers at schools. These centers serve as vital hubs for computer literacy, supporting the educational journey of students and fostering economic growth within the community.
